Funny Chick Flicks

The genre that I will be writing about is comedy. Comedy is the genre that is defined as a dramatic work that is light and often humorous and satirical in tone. Also, it usually contains a happy resolution of the thematic conflict. It is composed of satire, humorous performances, and jokes. I chose this genre because everyone loves to laugh. Who doesn’t want to have a good laugh, right? Also, I focused on women instead of men for this assignment because I want to demonstrate how actresses can use feminism as an advantage of comedy. One of the best things about comedic “chick flicks” is that they do not focus on relationship like the other films made for females. That is what I hope people will take away from my exhibit. I want the people to see that men cannot always have the spotlight of comedy, sometimes the women needs a turn too. Most of the time, women are funnier than men.
